July 6, 2007 Raiden wins the Akita Club of Tampa Bay Specialty. Raiden looked really great and performed awesome. The next day he took a Group Two and on Sunday a Group Three. The following week at the Jupiter-Tequesta shows he got BOB both days, but no placements in Groups. Oh well, thats why we pay our $25 per show, to get opinions of judges. Nothing else happening over the summer, Raiden will just sleep, eat and get lazy.
Big wins for Raiden on May 11 and 12, 2007. In West Palm Beach Raiden was awarded a Group Two by Keke Kahne and on Sunday Joe Noe awarded Raiden with a Group 4. Pino Renzulli showed him both days and he (Raiden) never looked better. I guess all that running I have done with him the last two months have finally paid off. Too bad Raiden has pulled me off the bike twice to chase wild cats, but that is part of the fun of owning an Akita.
Raiden was born January 28, 2003 in Minnesota. Eight weeks later he moved to Miami, Florida, flying Continental. Upon arriving in his new home, Raiden ran out the back door, right into the pool. Needless to say, Michelle jumped in, with all her clothes on and rescued the suprised puppy. Since that day, Raiden has approached the pool with a great deal of caution. At six months of age, Raiden traveled to Missouri to participate in the Akita Club of America Nationals. Raiden had a nice time, bunny hopping around the show ring. Once he came back, Raiden got serious and began an exemplary show career, obtaining his championship by his eleventh month. In December 2004, Raiden won his first Group One showing. In July 2005, Raiden won his first BISS, in Tampa, Florida. By the middle of October 2005, Raiden had accumulated 149 breed points, qualifying him for the AKC/Eukanuba Championships. Raiden finished the year as the number 16 Akita in the Nation. Raiden participated in the AKC/Eukanuba and showed very well. We are very proud of Raiden's accomplishments.
We are grateful to Jennifer Grande and Steven Haugen for the magnificant animal that they bred.
We are also grateful to Pino Renzulli as the exclusive handler of Raiden.
Be sure to look for us at Westminster this February.
